‘ócio’ means rest or relaxation space. As coffee culture became popular, the intention was to embody the mental relaxation felt while drinking coffee rather than simply drinking and savoring coffee. The exterior was designed to draw visual attention with stainless steel material, and the red bricks piled high from the second to third floors enhanced the volume of the building, and were intended to arouse curiosity about the space through an image that contrasts with the interior seen from the outside. Entering the interior, on the first floor, there is a heavily placed coffee bar and built-in chairs using round shaped elements, and a unique space is created by colorfully overlapping materials and tones. Painting with a thick texture and cold steel were selected as the main finishing materials, and the movable furniture, round-shaped built-in chair, and display wall were all made of wood to express warmth and peace of mind. Coming up to the second floor, a round-shaped partition with a rough texture established the center of the flow of the space, and freely placed tables and furniture and table arrangements with a completely different feel and volume inside were used to create fun in the space, scattered throughout the space. The small hidden details were enough to further express our individuality.
